Maria Wamsley, MD is the Director for the UC San Francisco Program for Interprofessional Education and Practice (IPE), which coordinates the interprofessional curriculum for the Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy and the Physical Therapy program and promotes models of interprofessional practice at UCSF and its affiliated sites. She is a professor of clinical medicine at UCSF, Co-Director of the PISCES longitudinal integrated clerkship, and a member of the UCSF Academy of Medical Educators. Her research interests include teaching and assessment of interprofessional collaboration skills, the impact of longitudinal integrated clerkships on professional identity formation, and substance abuse education. She is a member of the Society of General Internal Medicine. Dr. Wamsley received her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and completed a residency in internal medicine at UCSF.

School Leads for Interprofessional Education
The Curriculum Development Working Group (CDWG) is comprised of faculty from the Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry and Physical Therapy. The CDWG is charged with identifying current interprofessional opportunities across the professional schools and future IPE curriculum delivery opportunities.
The overarching purpose of the IPE Assessment Committee is to develop and implement a robust system of learner assessment for interprofessional education at UCSF, including frameworks, metrics, and tools that ensure the mission, goals, and educational outcomes of PIPE programming are met.
The Program for Interprofessional Education has an Interprofessional Practice and Education Scholarship Working Group to promote scholarship in interprofessional practice (IPP) and interprofessional education (IPE) at UCSF. This group provides an opportunity for consultations for IPE/IPP works in progress. (membership in development)
